I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
