Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden significant honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
